Living in a beach house on the Atlantic in Mayaro, Trinidad was a constant changing picture. In winter months the waters would come to the bottom step of the house leaving no beach. While my husband worked a number of years in Trinidad it was a long commute from Louisiana for our daughters to go to school.
The Atlantic finally took the beach house. dals

My current profile picture is with a background pastel portrait done at "The Court of Two Sisters in New Orleans in 1967. The pastel was by George Bohland who later had a shop on Bourbon Street. My husband was a commercial saturation diver working in the Gulf with Marine Contracting and we later moved to the area. I started painting at a very late age. My husband's work took us to London in 1976 where I enjoyed the Galleries & Museums. Moving onto Aberdeen, Scotland in 1978 I joined the Women's Petroleum Club art group which was being taught by persons from Gray's School of Art. I attended evening classes at Gray's School which was overwhelming & enjoyable. Returning to the USA in 1984 I mostly continued china painting initiated...
