Thank you Freehold, N.J. for your card order on Sept. 21, 2021 from FAA.com. of the Coconut Grove Shops in FL. It seems this was a repeat from an order some time back but perhaps a friend or relative in the same community. Enjoy---hope you like them. Thanks again. dals

Thank you Freehold, NJ for your card order. These colorful shop canopies were so striking years ago when I visited my daughter who lived in that lovely community. Of course it has changed so much but still a charming part of Miami. dals

Artist's Description

Coconut Grove is the oldest continuously inhabited neighborhood of Miami, FL. In 1825 immigrants settled the Grove area when the Cape Florida Lighthouse was operating. In 1925, 100 years later, it was annexed by the City of Miami. "The Grove" has long been known for its lush vegetation of flowers, trees & many coconut palms. A short distance to the East it borders beautiful Biscayne Bay. And a short drive north-east weaving over expressways you will reach Miami Beach & South Beach extending to North Beach. It is a great place to visit and residents would not live elsewhere.

My husband's work took us to London in 1976 where I enjoyed the Galleries & Museums. Moving onto Aberdeen, Scotland in 1978 I joined the Women's Petroleum Club art group which was being taught by persons from Gray's School of Art. I attended evening classes at Gray's School which was overwhelming & enjoyable. Returning to the USA in 1984 I mostly continued china painting initiated...
