Good Morning Burlington, NJ Reviewing your order this a.m. was quite a surprise. From my writing this was one of favorite pics which I brought to my retirement home move last year as a reminiscent of my bedside view of so many years. With age catching up I can no longer pass much of my time painting. My eyesight is restricted now and am trying to find a new short time approach and still settling into my new lifestyle. Thanks so much for your order and enjoy all your ordered pieces. FAA reproduces very nicely and items hold up well. All best wishes to you and yours. dals

Artist's Description

A few of my favorite antiques. The hand painted glass lamp was originally an oil lamp but now electric. The marble top table belonged to my Dad’s family. The old bird cage was an antique find while living in Scotland. It housed a singing canary named Sonny whose friend was my small poodle named Cher. Cher later returned to Virginia with us in 1984 but Sonny unable to make the trip had a home with a young Scottish girl. dals

My husband's work took us to London in 1976 where I enjoyed the Galleries & Museums. Moving onto Aberdeen, Scotland in 1978 I joined the Women's Petroleum Club art group which was being taught by persons from Gray's School of Art. I attended evening classes at Gray's School which was overwhelming & enjoyable. Returning to the USA in 1984 I mostly continued china painting initiated...
