Artist's Description

Lake Talquin in Florida is a reservoir located on the Ochlockonee River that was formed after the construction of the Talquin Dam for hydroelectric power. It is between the capital Tallahassee and city of Quincy that gives it the name
Tal quin. It is about 20 miles long and about 1 mile wide along most of the Lake. With alligators and snakes it is not ideal for swimming or water skiing but it is a gem for fishing, wildlife, forests and recreation areas. Boating and sailing are perfect with beautiful scenery. And best of all living at the Lake is a dream come true.
