Bourbon Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans is one of the many streets laid out in the 1700's that was named for the royal houses of France. Other streets are named for Catholic Saints, as St. Ann, which houses the famous Cafe du Monde coffee & beignet restaurant. A short walk to Canal Street which is one of the widest streets in the U.S. was originally planned for a canal to divide the French and Spanish from the arriving Americans. Thank you Miami for all the card orders. New Orleans was a fascinating city to live in — specially at the time the Dome Stadium was being built & the beginning of the Saints football team with Archie Manning as Quarterback. This picture was a combination of photo shots taken on Bourbon St. on a return family visit to celebrate my 80th birthday. I appreciate all my followers all these years. Thanks very much. ❤️ dals
